Meet Dr. Leiss

Genuine. Compassionate. Artistic.

As an orthodontist, I like knowing I have had a positive impact on each patient’s life. It is an honor to enhance a smile: making it more attractive and healthier and developing a relationship with the patient and their families during their treatment time.

My goal is quality over quantity. As an artisan in orthodontics, I am not here to sell braces. I am here to establish a result-driven game plan before initiating treatment. It is very rewarding to work with the result-minded patient to achieve a smile that will last a lifetime.

Having practiced for 30 years, I am now seeing the children of some of my earlier patients. It’s gratifying to have relationships that span generations within a family!

I grew up knowing I wanted to be a dentist. Once I was in dental school, I found myself drawn to the orthodontic specialty. It is the perfect blend of science, medicine, and artistry. The additional benefit is seeing patients who want the care I offer and are vested in their treatment and outcome. If I hadn’t become an orthodontist, I would likely have gravitated toward being a master carpenter or builder: I like working with my hands and creating lasting beauty.

Education

I attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, where I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Remaining at the university, I completed a challenging orthodontic residency and received my certificate in orthodontics.

Dental school and the orthodontic residency gave me a solid foundational understanding of oral health and the mechanics of tooth movement. However, orthodontics is a constantly evolving specialty: ongoing research leads to new methodologies and technologies.

I stay current on the latest developments through continuing education courses, lectures, and meetings, and regularly review scientific literature.

Beyond The Practice

If I’m not seeing patients, I’m usually found with my family. Dayna, my wife of more than 35 years, and I were high-school sweethearts. We have four children: Son Jory, his wife Cristen, and our granddaughters Lennon and Maren, our daughter Cree and her husband Oliver, our son Jamison and his wife Bri, and our son Jefferson.

I truly love being at home with my family. Whether I’m working in the yard and cutting the grass or we’re relaxing by the pool, it’s always an enjoyable time. I also love eating out, and to balance that, I work out five days a week.

Meet Dr. Hendrix

Dedicated. Determined. Disciplined.

I am proud to provide a dental practice specializing exclusively in orthodontics for children and adults in my hometown area of Chester County. It has been rewarding to perfect smiles, build lasting relationships, and give back to the community.

A respected dental faculty member once commented that I had “found my calling” when I decided to pursue orthodontics. This specialty conveniently allows me to use both my mind and hands in an innovative and productive manner. It is gratifying to see how a new smile can transform one’s personality and confidence.

Education

I graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Four years later, I graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.

I earned a joint Master of Science (MS) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics after completing a three-year program at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.

I am an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Pennsylvania Orthodontic Association. I am proud to be recognized as a “Top Orthodontist” as voted by my peers.

Beyond The Practice

I have been married to Parker McLean Hendrix for 24 years, and we are the proud parents of two children, David and Kate. When I am not in the office, I am an avid runner and enjoy all outside activities, especially those associated with water.

Meet Dr. Sulaiman

Honest. Innovative. Perfectionist.

From a young age, I always lived by the mantra that every task should be done to the best of my ability. It doesn’t matter whether I’m cleaning dishes, cutting the lawn, or straightening teeth. I strive to do every task, big or small, with the same level of commitment. I am excited to practice as an orthodontist in your community and consider you all as part of my “family.”

Education

I was born and raised in Montgomery County, PA. I’m a very proud graduate of Grove City College where I played varsity soccer and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology. I finished my doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh and completed my orthodontic residency training there as well. In addition to my training, I attained a Master’s degree focused on the beneficial effects expanders have on sleep quality in children. I continue to utilize this knowledge as I treat my patients.

Beyond The Practice

Outside of work, you’re likely to find me either watching or playing soccer. As a kid I couldn’t get enough and tried to play at least twice a week. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, hiking, and learning golf.
